The Australian Qualifications Framework
The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) provides Australia with a unified system of national qualifications. These qualifications are standardised across schools, TAFEs, other private vocational institutions and universities.
The AQF links all major Australian qualifications. These include high school graduation certificates through to certificates (I to IV), diplomas, degrees and post-graduate degrees. The framework provides a transparent way to recognise educational qualifications and assure quality. Its purpose is to promote lifelong learning within a seamless system that provides a wide range of training opportunities.
Most courses offered at the APTC are at Certificate III level with a small number offered at Certificate IV level.
