Certificate III in Children's Services

- Certificate III Children's Services (Childcare/Pre-School stream)
- Certificate III Children's Services (Resort Kids Club Stream)
- Certificate III Children's Services (Independent Carer Stream)
Stream to be delivered will be dependant on applications received.
Brief Description of Course
Childcare/Pre-School stream
This stream is specifically targeted at individuals who are currently working with young children in a Pre-school or Childcare setting. This course is a pre-requisite to the Diploma of Children’s Services.
Resort Kids Club stream
This stream is specifically targeted at individuals who are currently working with children attending Kids Clubs at a Resort.
Independent Carer stream
This stream is specifically targeted at individuals who are currently working as Independent Carers of young children in private homes and resorts.
Entrance Requirements
Selection will be based on industry experience, previous related education, an LLN assessment and skills assessment interview with APTC SHCS staff.
Duration
The course will be delivered part-time over 12 months. Students will attend theory/underpinning knowledge classes and complete practicum within their workplace setting.
RPL
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Recognition of Current Competency (RCC) will be granted where applicants can demonstrate current underpinning knowledge, relevant qualifications and suitable workplace experience. To obtain RPL please submit evidence of your prior experience or learning with your application, as it may assist to shorten the duration of your course. Ask for more information when you enrol.
