Welcome Message

To the many friends of the Australia-Pacific Technical College, I would like to introduce myself. I have taken up the newly established role of Chief Executive Officer in the APTC. I am extremely honoured at the opportunity to be part of the wonderful APTC family of staff and students.

The APTC will be facing many new and exciting challenges over the coming months as we continue on with our goal of boosting economic growth in the Pacific by helping to develop a more competitive regional workforce. We will also apply ourselves to assist mobility of skilled workers between the Pacific and developed countries through the provision of internationally recognised qualifications and skills. In this way, our graduates can get better jobs and careers and ultimately it is through education and training that we all contribute to the economic and social development of industry and community.

I have met so many of our students and Alumni in the past few months and the thing that stands out is their commitment and dedication to their studies and to sharing their knowledge with others in the workplace and community.

The real strength of the APTC is our staff and it is through their extensive professional experience that the APTC team can provide high quality education and training equal to that you would find in Australia. Our trainers and tutors are supported by a number of work teams in our four delivery countries, Fiji, Samoa, PNG and Vanuatu as well as our smaller countries and it is through their amazing efforts that we are able to deliver and support programs that industry requires.

Mr Barry Peddle PSM
Chief Executive Officer
