Samoa Welding graduate looks to future
Speaking after the recent APTC graduation ceremony in Samoa, Tuasivi Kaleopa, who graduated in Certificate III Engineering - Fabrication, said that he was looking to his future, which he sees as being a part of Samoa's growth and development.
"I am working here for my family and for Samoa, especially after the Honourable Prime Minister said, 'You have to do something for your country,' at the graduation ceremony," said Tuasivi.
Tuasivi, who is self-employed, said that the experience and skills he had acquired over the last two years at the APTC School of Automotive, Construction & Electrical, and Manufacturing, are contributing to a marked increase in his business.
"APTC has helped me a great deal with my business, JK Welding. I have designed and built a range of steel items, and my clients are satisfied with my work. People are requesting my work because of the good quality."
Tuasivi is also pleased that his 13-year-old daughter is inspired by the APTC example.
"At the APTC graduation, she was really challenged to become a graduate and make others proud; to be a graduate student in the future."
