Air Terminal Services Fiji chefs graduate
With the recent graduation of eleven Air Terminal Services (ATS) chefs in Certificate III, Commercial Cookery, ATS Catering Manager Russell Holden said he was seeing the realisation of his dream for the delivery of an accredited training program in the workplace.
As keynote industry speaker on the evening, Mr Holden paid tribute to the dedication of the ATS graduates and their trainer, APTC culinary trainer Douglas Battison, in achieving this significant milestone of completion of Australian qualifications at trade level.
Apart from their training in the ATS kitchens and training room for eight hours every Wednesday across a span of 15 months, the participants had the opportunity throughout October to showcase their culinary skills to the public, through a series of a la carte dinner service sessions at Fusion Restaurant.
Also significant was that this graduation dinner was the first in Fiji to be wholly catered by current APTC students of Cookery, Patisserie and Hospitality Operations.
