First NUS-IOT graduates in recent APTC ceremony
Three lecturers from the National University of Samoa-Institute of Technology (NUS-IOT), APTC's training partner in Samoa, were amongst the 42 APTC graduates receiving their certificates at the recent ceremony held in Samoa.
Not only are Ponifasio Eneliko, Setefano Paulo and Faavae Foaga the first NUS-IOT graduates from APTC, but they are also the first to graduate in their respective trades.
Ponifasio Eneliko and Setefano Paulo graduated with Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade, while Faavae Foaga graduated with Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade (Refrigeration and Engineering).
NUS Vice Chancellor, Professor Leapai Lau Asofou So'o said that he was very proud to see the three lecturers graduate from APTC and taking advantage of "this unique opportunity that APTC provides right here in Samoa."
"NUS - IOT wants highly effective, highly qualified staff - ideally in the next five years I want all IOT staff to get a first degree (educational/trade). These lecturers are doing the right thing," said the Vice Chancellor.
