"The EPC looks for new skills and knowledge in regulation, and upgrading level of standards, especially in maintaining, installing and commissioning electric works," said Mr Latu.
Upon completing the diploma course, Mr Latu, who is married with two small children, will return to Samoa and employment with EPC.
Mr Latu said that he and his fellow APTC graduates, "…are lucky people that the Australian government has helped lift the standard in Samoa; the whole world now needs these skills.
"The APTC is looking at the whole Pacific, and giving opportunities for international qualifications."
