APTC acknowledges AIDS Awareness Day
APTC acknowledged AIDS Awareness Day at offices, campuses, and a graduation, around the region.
Staff and students whole-heartedly embraced the importance of taking the AIDS Awareness message into the community by wearing red ribbons, red clothing, and special AIDS T-shirts, to mark the AIDS Awareness Day.
In Suva, ACEM students joined with the office and staff and Trainers, and wore red to work and classes.
"Even if they had to change into work clothes and overalls, the students made the effort to include red in their clothing," said Mr James Knynenburg, ACEM Fiji Manager, Product /Content.
Students on the ACEM Women Only Painting and Decorating Course not only wore red T-shirts, but as a part of their course, erected scaffolding that happened to be red. This they later draped with an enormous red banner. (See the front page of the APTC December newsletter.
The APTC Coordination Office staff in Nadi also came to work on AIDS Awareness day in a variety of red clothing, and decorated the office front door with a large red bow.
