Another top award to APTC & SCIT
The APTC and Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE (SCIT) have been awarded the Queensland Education and Training International (QETI) Award for Best Practice in International Collaboration (Vocational Education & Training).
This top award was presented to the APTC & SCIT Team by Mr Michael Choi, Parliamentary Secretary for Trade at a prestigious event held at the Queensland Parliamentary Annex in Brisbane.
The award is in recognition of the critical role that collaboration plays in the successful delivery of Australian Vocational Education and Training qualifications to students from the 14 Pacific Island Forum Countries (PIF).
‘The program’s success depends upon collaboration with AusAID; advisory group representatives from the 14 PIF countries; the three Australian contractors implementing and delivering the program; Papua New Guinea Fijian and Samoan government representatives; industry training providers in-country; Pacific region employer groups, and local community organisations.’ (QETI Awards Booklet.)
On stage to receive the award were Ian Wells, ACEM Project Director, accompanied by Team members Carolyn Jalal, Executive Communication Officer; Olwyn McQuillan, Senior Travel Officer, and Bev Everson, Executive Support Officer.
