2nd Graduation in the Kiribati
The 2nd APTC graduation ceremony was held at the Otintaai Hotel, Tarawa last week. Nine students from the School of Tourism and Hospitality attended the ceremony to receive their certificates. GM, Antoine Barnaart, made opening and closing comments with Minister for Labour and HRD, Ioteba Refern and Brett Aldam, new Australian High Commissioner, making special guest speeches. Cathy Joyce, one of the students’ teachers and mentors, spoke on behalf of the School of Tourism and Hospitality. George Teanako provided the graduate response. Cathy noted that the graduates represented an outstanding group of students who are fondly remembered by all staff of the School in Fiji. Antoine confirmed that, while the graduates were in Fiji, they were great ambassadors for their country and, as APTC Alumni, they will be great ambassadors for the College in the future.
