APTC develops RED SAFE dispensers
Working closely with BAHA (Business Coalition Against HIV and AIDS), APTC students in Papua New Guinea have developed ‘RED Safes’ as a new and distinctive method designed for dispensing condoms.
The students’ efforts are in line with the APTC HIV and AIDS policy.
This policy includes fostering cooperation with other relevant organisations in response to HIV and AIDS, and promoting awareness and prevention of HIV and AIDS.
BAHA General Manager, Dr Ann Clarke, thanked APTC and the students for ”their fantastic contribution to the Papua New Guinea community.”
So far, six RED Safe dispensers have been constructed by the Metal Fabrication Certificate III students, as part of their training at the PNG Campus.
