APTC Vanuatu hosts early childhood workshop
APTC was pleased to host the Vanuatu Early Childhood Association ‘Make and Take Workshop’ at the College campus.
The workshop was organised by the Vanuatu Ministry of Education, the Shefa Preschool Coordinator, the Vanuatu Early Childhood Association, and supported by Volunteer Service Abroad volunteers.
The emphasis of the workshop was on how to make teaching resources with locally available materials.
Certificate III Children’s Services students attended the workshop, and came away with new skills, practical experience, and a supply of resources, that they made during the workshop.
These resources will support the APTC students in developing children’s early literacy and numeracy skills, as well as help provide children with a range of play experiences.
