New APTC Classrooms in Samoa already in use
The new classrooms recently completed at the APTC Samoa Campus are already being put to good use. The day following the handover saw the new building being utilised to full capacity. Cookery Trainer Mr Steve Johnston welcomed the part-time Commercial Cookery students to the new Computer classroom for their unit “Use Business Technology.”
The students were very impressed with the 24 computers, the latest programmes, and the speed of the fibre optic Internet connection. Mr Johnston said that he encourages students to develop skills in technology, not only as essential for course-related assignment work, but also as an additional skill to take home at the end of their training.
Tourism Trainer Mr Ray Petts used the two new theory rooms for the first time. These rooms were opened up as a large lecture theatre so that Mr Petts could deliver “Working in a socially diverse environment” to the highly enthusiastic students from Tonga, Samoa and Papua New Guinea.
