Women Make Great Painters !
Recent graduate Casey Crocker is pleasing her employer Doug Sobey with new skills gained through the Certificate III in Painting and Decorating from the APTC –ACEM course in Fiji.
Casey is one of three female painters working for Construction Maintenance Services. Doug Sobey is very supportive of training his employees and is very keen about employing women in non traditional roles. He believes that females make great painters as they have great attention to detail and are very particular about the end product. Doug said he doesn’t understand why more employers have not taken advantage of the training provided by APTC as he believes that it will only improve business. “If you want your business to prosper you really have to invest in your workforce and we can now do this by sending our workers to APTC,” Doug said. “Giving your workers the opportunity to gain skills and qualifications is one of the best investments that an employer can make because workers gain more confidence and deliver a higher standard of work.”
