Certificate IV Training and Assessment courses gain momentum in Fiji
APTC Courses in Certificate IV, Training and Assessment, (TAA) are gaining momentum in Fiji, with two courses being delivered in Suva, and one in Lautoka.
“Most of the students attending these courses are already trainers within their organisations, or will be trainers in the future,” explained Ms Robyn Littlejohn, ACEM TAA Trainer.
The students hail from a variety of organisations, representing the public, private and educational sectors. Amongst those represented are the Training Productivity Authority of Fiji, the Fiji Institute of Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Public Works Department, Fosters Group, Fiji Sugar Corporation and Air Terminal Services.
“These organisations place a value on training and professional development for their staff,” said Ms Littlejohn. “They are aware of the importance of Competency-Based Assessment and Training as a part of their on-going training programs.”
“It is exciting to see the TAA students consider different learning styles, think about new approaches to training, and then adapt their organisations’ in-house training programs accordingly,” concluded Ms Littlejohn.
