Ms Maree Karukuru, a female graduate from the Australia-Pacific Technical College (APTC), is making a name for herself in a male dominated trade profession in Papua New Guinea.

Australia-Pacific Technical College (APTC) alumnus Mr James Matariki has received a silver jubilee medal from the President of Vanuatu, His Excellency, Mr Baldwin Lonsdale, for contributing towards the development of the first-ever trade qualification module for the plumbing industry in 2011.

Employees must continuously upgrade their skills and knowledge to remain on par with industry needs and perform efficiently in the workplace.
