PNG Alumni prepares for next phase

Jul 31, 2011

On her return from the APTC Alumni Fellowship trip to Australia earlier this month, PNG Chapter Chair, Ms Elsie Maino met with the PNG Alumni Executive members.

"Ms Maino briefed us on her visit to TAFE and university campuses in Australia," reported Mr Allan Kae, APTC PNG Country Program Coordinator and Alumni member.

"She had a lot of information to share with us on the ways an Alumni Association can function and be administered. Ms Maino also brought us up-to-date on what we need to work on in the next phase to come" said Allan.

At the meeting, held at the Port Moresby Holiday Inn, the Executive also discussed the next two projects: a Chapter blood drive and donation, as a part of community service, and the planned Alumni barbeque, to be held in the APTC Campus grounds.

APTC is an Australian Government initiative in partnership with the Pacific and Timor-Leste.

APTC is implemented by TAFE Queensland (RTO 0275)
