  • APTC Students get hands on fire experience as part of their training

    For part of their unit "Follow Health, Safety & Security Procedures" Fiji's Rakiraki fire brigade instructed the students on safety procedures, prevention of fire hazards and extinguishing different types of fires. Not only is this part of their studies but, knowledge and experience with fire is a valuable life skill that may prevent tragic loss of life and property.

  • Diploma Community Services Work celebrates Bula Friday!

    The Suva Campus of the APTC was very excited to welcome and meet the new group of Diploma of Community Services Work students on Monday 1 August 2011. These students have come from PNG, Solomon Islands and Fiji with many years experience in a variety of community settings including social welfare, community health, police and correctional services.

  • APTC and Tanoa Rakiraki Hotel - working together to improve hospitality training for the Pacific region.

    Another semester of hospitality studies has successfully commenced with the Certificate IV in Hospitality (Supervision) and Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) at the Tanoa Rakiraki Hotel campus. This unique facility provides an opportunity for students from all over the South Pacific to study full time in a commercial hotel property.
